Stenanthemum White Mischief PBR
A compact small shrub (30-45cm high x 80cm-1.2m wide) with a dense
mounding habit and crisp dark green foliage. Massed bronze buds open to decorative silvery white
cottonball flowers from late autumn until early spring. Butterflies and small moths are attracted to
the flowers, and wrens visit the plants to feed on small insects. Suitable for cool temperate to sub
tropical and semi arid climates. Loves full sun or light shade, in moist or dry soils, neutral to
slightly acid pH. Suitable for inland or coastal gardens; frost tolerant.
Uses: makes a ‘natural hedge’ with minimal trimming, or massed contrast planting in broad
areas. A hardy and attractive container plant, and a long lasting cut flower for fresh or dried
arrangements. Flowers may be dyed for additional effect.
Maintenance: Shape with minimal trimming of spent flower stems in early spring or late
summer, feed lightly with low phosphorus controlled release fertilizer at time of trimming.
