Green Cape™
Crowea
A compact, prostrate little
shrublet (15cm H x 50 – 80cm W) with short thick aromatic
foliage and masses of multi-hued pink waxy star flowers from
late spring through to early winter. Butterflies, moths and
dainty harmless native bees love the flowers. Hardy and
drought tolerant, it grows readily in very dry to moist,
well drained clay or sandy soils, acid to mildly alkaline
pH. Loves full sun or light shade, hardy in cool temperate
to sub tropical and semi arid climates, thrives in dry
coastal sites or inland gardens. Tolerates moderate frosts.

Uses: when mass planted, it is a beautiful landscape
accent; plant along path edges for a soft mounding effect,
or clustered amongst bold rockwork; plant in multiples in
large containers for a stunning long-flowering focus in
patio or courtyard environment.

Maintenance: only requires light trimming after
flowering to maintain dense soft new growth and massed
flowering. If container grown, use only best quality, well
drained potting mix. Do not overwater. Feed in early spring
or late summer with low phosphorus controlled release
fertilizer.
One of the best container plants you
could choose.
And flowering at summer's end right
through to winter. What a charmer!
