Grevillea
Tucker Time® Entrée
A compact,
free-flowering small shrub (35cm H x 45cm W) with soft narrow
foliage and waxy golden and pink flower clusters blooming from
late autumn through to spring. A great source of nectar for
honey-eating birds during colder months. Thrives in full sun
or light shade, in well drained, humus-rich clay loam or sandy
soils, neutral to slightly acid pH; is suited to cool
temperate to sub tropical or semi arid climates, is frost
hardy, and suits a second line coastal situation.
Uses: a versatile, colourful low shrub for garden beds,
or a long-flowering container plant for deck, patio or
balcony. Plant beside raised water bowls so birds can both
feed and drink in safety.
Maintenance: Minimal trimming is required just to
maintain tidy shape, may be pruned lightly during late summer
or early spring; feed at the same time with low phosphorus
controlled release fertilizer.
