Sun Drops™
A tiny
compact shrublet (15cm high x 45cm wide) with neat dark
foliage and bright yellow guinea flowers in spring-early
summer, pollinated by insects. Will grow in cool temperate to
sub tropical and semi arid climates; suited to full sun or
dappled light, in well drained clay or sandy loam soils,
neutral to acid pH. Frost hardy, and suitable for second line
coastal situations.
Uses: plant as edging for pathways or paving; dotted
amongst other dainty-foliaged plants in rocky outcrops and
raised beds; as a dainty container plant for small gardens,
patios or balconies.
Maintenance: Trim lightly after flowering to encourage
new growth. Feed in early spring or late summer with low
phosphorus controlled release fertilizer. If container grown,
use best quality potting medium and do not overwater.
