Acacia
Pot o’ Gold™
A low dense
spreading mound 20 - 30cm high x 1 - 1.5m wide. Soft rounded
leaves on graceful stems which are covered in golden balls in
spring and early summer. Grows readily in very dry to moist,
well drained clay or sandy soils, neutral to slightly acid pH.
Loves full sun or light shade, hardy in cool temperate to sub
tropical and semi arid climates, thrives in dry coastal sites
or inland gardens. Tolerates moderate frosts.
Uses: a handsome landscape accent; plant along path
edges for a soft mounded hedge effect, amongst bold rockwork,
or in large containers for a stunning long-flowering focus in
patio or courtyard environment.
Maintenance: only requires light trimming after
flowering to control spread and to promote dense soft new
growth. If container grown, use only best quality, well
drained potting mix. Do not overwater. Feed in early spring or
late summer with low phosphorus controlled release fertilizer.
