Grevillea Carpet
Layer
A dense vigorous carpet (1.5 – 2.5 m W), with overlaying,
texturally interesting foliage, and large deep pink
‘toothbrush’ flowers displayed across the entire plant.

Flowering time predominates in spring to early winter, with
sporadic flowering at other times of the year. Honeyeaters
are constantly feeding on this plant.
Grows well in full sun and light shade, in well drained clay
or sandy loams, neutral to lightly acid pH. Extremely frost
hardy, and suitable for second line coastal conditions.

Uses: a spectacular carpeting plant for broad garden
beds, slopes and banks; will assist in soil stabilising and
provides a ‘living mulch’ for companion plants. An
outstanding groundcover, with a stunning flowering display
for many months.

Maintenance: End trimming is required just to
maintain tidy shape, may be pruned more heavily if required;
feed in late winter or late summer with low phosphorus
controlled release fertilizer.
