Anigozanthos
Pussy Paws™ Galore
Each lovely flower has a turned-back fringe, enabling honeyeaters access
to the nectar deep inside, at the same time dobbing a blob of pollen on each bird’s head … a neat
way of ensuring pollination as the honeyeater flits from flower to flower and plant to plant.

A small perennial plant
producing many flowers from late winter to late spring. The
paw-like blooms of gold with a red base and an emerald green
throat are held on red stems, 30 to 45 cm above the neat
strap foliage, and are very attractive to honey-eating
birds. A lovely cut flower for indoor decoration.

'Galore’ prefers an open sunny position in well drained
soils, and will tolerate light frosts. It is suited to cool
temperate to semi arid climates, and will tolerate
second-line coastal conditions.
Uses: combine with other Pussy Paws and Kangaroo Paws
for eye-catching effect; plant amongst small heathland
plants in raised sand beds; a highly decorative container
plant for patio, deck or terrace.
Maintenance: prune spent flower stems from the base.
Feed lightly in spring with low phosphorus controlled
release fertilizer, suitable for Australian native plants.
Choose premium quality Australian standard potting mix
suitable for native plants if planting in containers.
Very low water requirements. Do not overwater if
container-grown.

Flower
heads in clusters make a spectacular sight for many weeks, and an excellent cut flower for indoor
decoration.
