Austraflora has a continuous
stream of plant varieties under trial (see
Future Releases
for some of these), and our testing process is rigorous,
placing these varieties under a wide range of growing
conditions to ensure that what we offer will perform to
expectations.
We recognize that not all gardens or landscapes are prepared
to optimum conditions for plant growth, but with reasonable
soil preparation, adequate (not excessive) moisture during
the period of establishment, and attention to pruning and
feeding and mulching, any Austraflora plant should perform
reliably.
In this section, we present those plants which have made it
through our selection process in the past twelve months or
so, and are now being produced by wholesale growers around
Australia.
Some plant varieties take longer to bulk up to commercial
quantities than others. They may also take longer to ‘get
around’, especially into States other than Victoria, where
we are based.
Therefore, if you cannot find a particular variety in your
local garden centre or nursery, always ask if they can get
it for you. Our contact details are listed in this website
and we welcome enquiries from retailers, growers and
consumers.
