Grevillea
Tucker Time® New
Day
An upright
compact small shrub (40 - 60 cm H x 30 - 45cm W) with narrow
erect leaves of mid green, with silvery overtones especially
noticeable in bright light. Clusters of red-pink flowers are
set both within the foliage, and on outer stems, and are
displayed from late winter through spring, with occasional
flowers at other times of the year. The honeyeaters find these
flowers completely irresistible.
Tucker Time® New
Day will grow in cool temperate to sub tropical and semi
arid climates. It is suited to sandy or dry gravelly soils to
moist well drained clay loams, neutral to slightly acid pH.
Moderately frost hardy, and suitable for second line or near
coastal conditions.
Uses: an ideal plant for small gardens, mixed with
other small shrubs or mass planted for special bird
attraction. Eye-catching when repeat planted in containers for
deck or patio, or combine for lovely colour mix with a
companion such as Grevillea Charlie’s Angel.
Maintenance: Trim only as needed, when flowers have
finished; feed in late winter or late summer with low
phosphorus controlled release fertilizer. If grown in a
container, use only premium potting medium and do not
over water.
