Callistemon
Candelabra™
An upright narrow dense shrub (2.5 -
3m x 1 - 2m) with masses of perfumed acid-yellow flowers during spring and summer, set above silver
grey foliage. Hardy in moist to wet clay soils or sandy loam, in climates ranging from cool
temperate to sub tropical, and in semi arid with additional moisture. Frost hardy, and does well in
either full sun or light shade; suited to second line coastal gardens. Particularly attractive to
nectar-eating birds.

Uses: Ideal for narrow
garden areas; as a screening or specimen plant; suited to streetscapes and parklands. May also be
hedged. Candelabra is especially beautiful
planted along the edges of wetlands to provide safe nesting
and feeding habitat for small birds.

Maintenance: Trim spent flowers regularly, and prune as required for shape. Feed with
low phosphorus fertilizer in spring or late summer.
Candelabra is worth
an admiring glance whether in or out of flower. Silver foliage catches and reflects the light and
provides a note of contrasting elegance in any landscape.
