Acacia
Waterfall®
PBR
Cascading
over a sturdy timber wall, it provides strong visual impact
as it softens the line of the wall.
A
spectacular weeping designer plant.
An
aromatic cascade of foliage gave the plant its name. Of
restrained growth habit, this variety will cascade like
a fine curtain of green water some 2 to 2.5 metres, and
will spread 1-1.5 metres across. The foliage retains its
density from top to bottom and in spring is decorated with
perfumed flowers of soft lemon. The base from which the
stems emerge will, over time, develop its own architectural
character, adding to the intrigue of the plant. It grows
well in temperate to sub tropical and semi arid climates,
in moist clay or sandy loams, neutral to acid pH. Full sun
or light shade is fine, it will tolerate moderate frosts,
and is suitable for second line coastal gardens.
Uses:
For dramatic impact, plant in tall containers
or large pipes along walkways, or beside waterfalls or cascades,
or on sloping banks where landscape design calls for an
especially strong note.
Maintenance:
Trim foliage ends if they trail along the pathway; otherwise
no pruning is normally required. Feed with low phosphorus
controlled release fertilizer in early spring or late summer.
Very low water needs when established.

Soft
foliage asks to be patted.

Fragrant
lemon flowers decorate the foliage in spring.
