Darwinia Seaspray™
Orange-red
lanterns sit snugly amongst the crisp neat foliage of Seaspray™, making a bright display from
winter to summer, and attracting honeyeaters, butterflies and exquisite harmless native bees to the
nectar and pollen.

A low mounding shrub (10cm x 50-90cm) with silvery green aromatic foliage, dense and very
attractively set on fine stems. Vivid orange-red bracted flowers cover the leaves from winter to
summer. Honeyeaters, native bees and butterflies all feed on the nectar. Loves full sun or light
shade in temperate to sub tropical climates, in well drained clay or sandy loam, neutral to slightly
acid pH. Excellent for coastal gardens. Tolerates moderate frosts.

Uses: a fast and effective groundcover in small or large gardens, as a path edging
plant, in rockeries or in containers on patio or deck.

Maintenance: requires only light trimming for shape, after flowering is finished. Feed
with low phosphorus controlled release fertilizer in early spring or late summer. If container
grown, use best quality free-draining potting medium, keep moist but do not over water. Low water needs
when established.
