bare ground quickly, acting as a living mulch to conserve
moisture and provide coolness for the roots beneath; their
foliage, which is often intricate, displays an interesting
ground level mosaic, and many have nectar-bearing flowers
which honeyeaters find irresistible.
All
the plants in this collection may be used to cover steep
slopes or vertical walls, and some, especially the grevilleas,
may be used more formally as grafted standards
