Grevillea
Fanfare™
A quick-growing carpeting plant spreading
2- 3 metres, with large
deeply lobed leaves and red-tipped new growth. Long
toothbrush flowers of deep pink maturing to wine-red, well
displayed from spring to autumn, are very
attractive to honeyeaters. Grows easily in moist clay loams or sandy soils,
neutral to acid pH, in cool temperate to sub tropical
climates. Loves full sun or light shade, is very frost hardy, and is well suited to coastal or inland
gardens.
Uses: A great natural mulch for conserving
moisture in garden beds; will cascade down steep slopes,
spreads attractively beneath other shrubs and is very useful
in providing quick cover over open ground, on banks and
retaining walls.
Maintenance: responds to heavy tip
pruning in spring or late summer. Feed at the same time with low phosphorus controlled release
fertilizer.
