Pimelea Edna Walling® Rice Flower™
A dainty soft many-stemmed small shrub (40-60cm x 20-30cm) with light
green leaves, and massed terminal heads of perfumed pink-and-white flowers from spring to early
winter, highly attractive to butterflies and moths. It loves full sun or light shade, in moist well
drained loamy soils, neutral to slightly acid pH. Suitable for temperate to sub tropical or semi
arid climates, withstands moderate frosts, and will grow in 2nd line coastal conditions.
Uses: blends beautifully in cottage garden mixes; a charming container or specimen choice, long
flowering and will last well as a posy flower indoors.
Maintenance: snip off spent flowers to promote new buds; trim to shape in early spring or late
summer, and feed at the same time with controlled release, low phosphorus fertilizer. If container
grown, use best quality potting mix.
