Mozzie Blocker™
vaporises citronella into the atmosphere
constantly. This confuses the attacking mosquito so that it cannot target its victim accurately.
It’s an upright fine leafed ornamental
shrub (1.8m x 1.2m) with soft pink teatree flowers in summer. Grows well in tropical to cool
temperate climates, will tolerate light frosts.
In ground: requires
moist clay loam or moist sand, must not dry out.
In containers:
use best quality low phosphorus potting mix, keep moist at all times.
Uses: as hedging or
screening around decks, pools, barbeque areas, or indoors as needed.
Coverage: each plant
can provide protection over approximately 3 sq metres. Eg, for an area of 15 sq m, use 5 or 6
plants.
Maintenance: prune
lightly during cooler months to promote dense new growth. Feed in early spring with low phosphorus
controlled release fertiliser. Keep moist at all times
