Acacia
Mop
Top™ PBR
A low mounding dense shrub (60 -
90cm x 90cm - 1.2m) with aromatic foliage, plum-coloured new growth, and bright yellow perfumed
flowers in spring, enticing small insect feeders such as
wrens and thornbills to dart amongst the soft foliage. It
grows well in temperate to sub tropical and arid climates, in moist clay or
sandy loams, neutral to acid pH. It likes full sun or light shade, tolerates medium frosts, and is
suitable for near coastal gardens.
Uses: create soft low hedging along pathways;
plant in massed formation on banks or in wide garden beds
where impact is required; use as dramatic accent container plant for courtyard or patio.
Maintenance:
An 'easy care' plant, Mop Top requires only minimal but regular tip pruning to
promote density; feed with controlled release low phosphorus fertilizer
in late summer or early spring. If container grown, use best
quality free-draining potting medium, do not over water.

A real 'Mop Top' in a container
... run your fingers through its 'hair'!

A stunning landscape accent plant, hardy in a wide
range of conditions.

Mop Top PBR develops into a rounded, easy-care mound,
rather like a soft furry animal, and suits a wide range of garden and landscape situations.
