Hardenbergia Edna Walling® Snow White™
A compact shrubby climbing or trailing plant of moderate vigour, with
light green foliage and stems, and long multiple sprays of pure white flowers in winter and spring.
Attractive to small insectivorous birds such as wrens, robins and some honeyeaters. Hardy in
climates ranging from cool temperate to sub tropical and semi arid. Loves full sun or light shade,
and does best in well drained soils, neutral to slightly acid pH. Withstands moderate frosts, and
is suitable for both inland and near coastal conditions.
Uses: Plant at 1.5m centres on supports against walls or fences for quick screening; on
pergolas or veranda posts, or to cascade over slopes and retaining walls.
Maintenance: Prune to shape and to stimulate new growth in early spring or late summer, and
feed at the same time with controlled release, low phosphorus fertilizer.
As plants age, they may be rejuvenated by harder cutting back to the base.
