From planting trees and shrubs to aerating soil, Fiskars QuikDrill™ delivers a fast neat turnaround

Planting trees, draining soil and installing fence posts can be tricky time consuming work without the right tool for the job. While many gardeners would automatically reach for a spade to do the digging, there is always the risk of damaging delicate root systems in flowerbeds and the problem of making bigger holes than necessary. The new Fiskars QuikDrill™, however, offers a neat efficient solution that takes the strain out of deep digging.

Fiskars QuikDrill™ represents a new approach to soil extraction by abandoning the traditional large helical screw thread of existing garden drill solutions in favour of two optimally angled boron steel blades secured around a sharp soil-piercing drill spike. This design not only works around the challenges of cutting through substrates like thick grass but also, more typically avoids jamming in the soil as the tool penetrates deeper.

With optimal penetration up to 60 centimetres even in difficult clay or stony ground, Fiskars QuikDrill™ is the perfect solution for many garden tasks with the added bonus that the exiting soil comes up in a neat pile for easy removal once the hole has been excavated.

With a lightweight steel shaft, comfortable and durable FiberComp™ handle and three fixed blade options of cutting diameters of 100, 150 and 200mm, Fiskars QuikDrill™ offers a new and handy way to drill down deeper with less effort.

The options

Fiskars QuikDrill™ S – working diameter100mm for planting bulbs, aerating and fertilizing soil and installing small posts

Fiskars QuikDrill™ M – working diameter 150mm for perennial planting, aerating and mixing compost and installing medium sized posts

Fiskars QuikDrill™ L – working diameter 200mm for planting hedges and trees, drilling compost holes and installing large posts

Plus Parts

Fiskars also provides Fiskars QuikDrill™ Plus Parts blades in the three available sizes (100mm, 150mm and 200mm) which can be interchanged easily to extend the use of the original tool. Fiskars Plus Parts are attached to the shaft with screws.

Reinventing Gardening
