Edna Walling is regarded as
Australia’s foremost and most respected landscape designer. During the 1920s to 1960s, she worked
tirelessly creating and building beautiful gardens, each with its own unique character and harmony.
Although most of her designs drew upon plants from the old world, she was passionate about the
Australian countryside and its flora. In many of her gardens, it was not unusual to find a
scattering of native plants ranged happily beside old favourites from the northern hemisphere.
We have drawn upon our own knowledge and understanding of the work of Edna Walling to introduce a
collection of plants which, we are certain, would have been used by Edna were she still building
gardens today. We believe they offer the charm, simplicity, and ability to harmonise with their
neighbours which are the hallmarks of the gardens of Edna Walling.
